I have this book.
It has no pictures but it has lots of information. It's one of those books that you kind of just want to read and then later see what you want to make. I love to just read cookbooks sometimes and sometimes that's all I do with my cookbooks. I have to be in the mood, just like taking pictures, knitting, sewing, or even reading novels.
Well we've had bacon from Costco sitting in our fridge for some time and so when I popped open this book, there was a couple pages on "baking bacon".
The first time I've seen baked bacon was when Martha Stewart put her wire racks on a baking sheet, placed the bacon on them and then threw them in the oven. I did that and it took awhile to clean those racks. Well this one is similar except you line your baking pan (1 inch rim) with foil, lay your bacon strips on it, and leave 2 inches free on one side. When you put it in the oven, place one of your metal measuring cups under one end of the pan so that it will create a tilt to let the grease flow into the 2 inch bacon free zone. Clean up is so easy. Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes or your desired crispiness. We like ours really crispy.
That looks delicious - I love crispy bacon...

Oh, the bacon looks so good! For Christmas, a friend gave me "In the Kitchen with a Good Appetite". Also a book with no pictures, but it stories followed by the recipe. It's currently my bedtime reading book and I am slowly savoring it.
