bouchon

I went to Vegas last weekend with Anne, my sister, and our significant others.  We went for Anne's husband's birthday and also to watch the fight.  The morning we arrived, we ate breakfast at Bouchon.  Really good breakfast food but I wish I was able to try their quiche.  Before boarding the plane back to San Francisco, I picked up these goodies (took pictures before devouring them):

and shortbread cookies... the kids had big chocolate chip cookies which were also delicious.

caterpillar stitch

I took another class at the San Francisco Center for the Book last night.  It's a two part class so I take the last one next week.  We learned the caterpillar stitch.  It's a very interesting and decorative type of stitch.  Here are my pictures:

The brown thread was doubled.  I think I like that look compared to the single thread of the purple one.
