I've always wanted to be an architect. I wanted to be an artist and go to art school after I graduated from high school ---but it never happened. I went the business route (listened to my parents) - because in their minds what was I going to get out of art. Anyway I'm going to encourage art anyway I can with my kids. Today at Flax they had Kidsfest. I brought Jason and he had so much fun. This is what he created:
an iron on transfer picture that he drew...
little mini masterpieces that came with a mini easel...
a mini stick monster with lots of legs...
and a painted rock with sakura gel pens.
He had a blast. This was their 13th year doing KidFest. You never know what's around the city for kids until you have them.
ooh, I love Fax - one of the many places I really miss in San Francisco.

kiddies art is so special, I have a big box of paintings and drawings that my kids have made over the years. The little paintings are gorgeous!

That sounds so cool. I went to Art School after high school and my parents were less than thrilled. I can't wait until Melody is a little older so we can do Arts & Crafts. Little kids are so creative. This is the best time for them to explore and create.
