I've always wanted to be an architect.  I wanted to be an artist and go to art school after I graduated from high school ---but it never happened.  I went the business route (listened to my parents) - because in their minds what was I going to get out of art.  Anyway I'm going to encourage art anyway I can with my kids.  Today at Flax they had Kidsfest.  I brought Jason and he had so much fun.  This is what he created:

He had a blast.  This was their 13th year doing KidFest.  You never know what's around the city for kids until you have them.

I haven't done too much crafting but I did make more pop up birthday cards for my aunt and twin nephews.  I also designed a couples shower card too in photoshop.

My cousin and I discovered a store which is a 10 minute walk from where we live.  It's called Perch.  It has miscellaneous things.  You can read about it in the link.  I bought some wine bags which were on sale for $1 and a shoe bag.  I know I could of made the shoe bag myself but I don't have time right now.

It's been busy the month of June.  Jason graduated from preschool and is on his way to kindergarten.

We have a planned family trip to hawaii in August but I went to Hawaii for 3 days to say goodbye to my grandpa. He lived a full life and lived to 92.  He has 5 children, 20 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. I was hoping he could see my kids in August.  He's never met them.  In our culture, moths symbolize spirits (or so my mom says) - two weeks before he passed there was a gigantic moth in our car while we were going out and it was keeping still.  My aunt said it was probably our grandfather wanting to see my kids.  It's a nice thought.
