Ava's 1st birthday is tomorrow! Her birthday party is next Saturday. Tons to do. I got this pineapple pinata today. I have to fill this up with goodies.

I made labels for an m&m favor.  I couldn't save enough gerber jars because most of Ava's baby food was in those plastic containers.  I tried buying on ebay but this one person who was selling them did not have the lids.  So I figure I would just buy plastic jars from Uline and make an m&m label.  I purchased dark pink and light pink m&m's from here.  I'll post pictures of the final favor once I'm done. I really wanted to do these again though.

birthday weekend

I'm home today - my 2nd vacation day from work.  Hard morning watching the kiddies but now they're both taking naps! So what I did this weekend -- took Jason to a birthday party in the eary afternoon Saturday.  He had lots of fun.  Then we went to Olive Garden (yes, not really my choice to eat for a birthday dinner but it was close to the house and "kid friendly" so it worked). Then had cake at the house.

The next day, I had lunch with my mom, auntie, sister and cousin here.  They gave me a birthday dessert:

The store was having a sale so what did I buy myself?  Another handbag - yes on sale - if it wasn't I wouldn't of bought it...

I also made more chocolate covered strawberries:

And what a surprise when the doorbell rang today...a package from Babybug- I bought a little pouch from Tasha from her etsy site here.  With that, she sent me a whole bunch of other goodies.  Thanks so much Tasha!  I love the fabric.

Right now I'm working on this.  I know I won't finish today since I'm planning on making my own bias tape but we'll see how it goes.

invite design

So I took the day off as well as Monday.  We get to take our birthday off at work. Mine is tomorrow which means another year older. Anyway, I went to Paper Source today to get paper and envelopes for Ava's 1st Birthday invitations.  I designed the invite last night and then sent to Ritz to print and now they're done.  I just have to attach to the cardstock and make labels.

Not as much work as my son's when he turned one.  I did eyelets and stickers with his.

11 months old ; doll class ; meme

My little girl is now 11 months old - and she can finally fit the sweater I knit her when I was pregnant.  It also means 1 month to work on her 1st birthday party...

Anne and I took a Japanese paper doll class yesterday.  It was pretty long.  1:00 to 4:30 pm.  Here are some pictures:

Here goes:

1- I have a serious bag fetish.  People who love shoes, buy shoes - I buy bags. My husband complains that I have too many and asks why I need another...

2- I'm a jeans person. I have a lot of them.  I'm so glad I can wear jeans to work everyday. I even like to dress Ava in jeans. 

3 -  When I got married I kept my maiden name and said that when I have kids I'll change it - but I didn't.  It's the name I grew up with so I feel weird about chaning it to another. It's an easy last name but for some reason people like to add an "h" after the first letter.

4 - I'm reading Pride & Prejudice at the moment - a recommendation from a co-worker.

5- I have 2 kids and think I'm done but am contemplating a third - but really I think I'm done.  I have a boy and a girl - what more can I ask for. 

6 - I have yet to put the correct weight on my driver's license - I believe it's still my high school weight -- haha!

7 -I want to win the lottery!
