Madewell opened up this month in San Francisco. Here is one article and another one about the store.

I decided to go one day after work when I didn't have to rush home.  I picked up a couple of twist-back tanks for our upcoming trip to Southern California.  It's great to see the clothes in person and to try them on rather then guess when you shop online.

I forgot my discount e-mail when I was there and told them about it.  The cashier was nice and honored it anyway.  If you're in SF, check it out.

The very beginning of the month little miss Ava turned 5!  Hard to believe how fast she is growing. We had a small family dinner at the house and celebrated with family and friends at a jumphouse the following day.

I took the day off today.  We did a quick mini trip to Legoland this past weekend and I'm somewhat resting today and spending time with the kids.

betty crocker cream puffs

I made pastry cream to put in crepes one night.  I still had a whole lot of pastry cream left so what I did was make some cream puffs from my old "Betty Crocker's New Cookbook".  It was a wedding gift from one of my aunts and I while I don't cook from it much, the recipes in there are very easy to prepare...like these cream puffs. 

 

I just cut these in half and added my pastry cream.  Jason likes these spread with nutella.
