accessories for a wedding...

This past weekend my husband's cousin got married.  My husband and I and Jason had a part in the wedding.  We were the veil sponsors and Jason carried the bible in the wedding. I haven't had a new dress in a long time.  I've worn dresses over and over to weddings and it was about time to get a new one.  I found this one on a sale rack and got the dress at over 60% discount.  Now that's what I call a deal!

lots of sewing and a little book binding

This past weekend I did lots of sewing.  My cousin-in-law commissioned me to sew some brown pouches made with nylon for her bridesmaids.  She's going to fill it up with some goodies.  I did cutting one night, putting zippers only another, and then finished up the straight sewing another.  It's not bad when you do them in parts. 

 I also made my son a little case for his Nintendo DS.  I made it out of this tutorial.  It was very quick and easy.

I'm at home for a few vacation days.  So nice not to go to work and I needed the break. Maybe I'll dust off the knitting needles and finish up those unfinished projects.

busy...but still crafting

I've been busy.  After the trip to Hawaii, the little boy started kindergarten.  He was fine but I did cry.  I can't believe how fast he's growing.

I took a class at the San Francisco Center for the Book with two of my cousins.  It was the "Three Stitches" class.  It was fun. We learned the french link stitch, the pierced stitch, and the group gathered stitch.

Also, a couple weeks ago, I hosted a bachelorette party at my house.  I made favors with the help of my sister and sister-in-law, baggies from Target with "goodies" tucked inside for the ladies.

I signed up for back tack 4.  I need to get creative now. Work is keeping me busy but hopefully I can rest this weekend.
