I attempted to make a couple softies last weekend. First I made the bear from this book. My son wanted me to make the bear so I made it. He didn't like the fact that his arms were missing so I put some on and I altered the face a bit.
I tried making the Aranzi Aronzo monkey but it came out like this...
I'm not too good at sewing curves on a machine so I tried making my own softie pattern with straight lines only and came out with this.
I think I like sewing bags better than softies.

I love your bear....I love teddy bears.... :D

I love your softies! They are cute in their own way and so full of character. I'm eager to start sewing some too.

Your softies are so cute! Love the picture of your son with his new friend. I have yet to make a softie. Did you see the free patterns on Wee Wonderfuls?
